It takes iron clad determination; agility and a warrior’s heart to
train with 5-time World Champion Kickboxer Olando "The Warrior" Rivera. Mark Bevacqua has
all of that and more.
Born in
Victorville California, and raised as a military kid moving from place to
place “Bivwack” has finally found where he belongs, in Tampa, Florida. As
one of the up and coming fighters presently being trained by “The Warrior”
Olando Rivera, Mark is steady racking up the wins in his amateur kickboxing
career. His current record is 5-2 with 3 wins coming by way of a knockout.
Settling in
Florida after serving our country for four years in the Army (including 2
years spent in Iraq) Mark splits his time being a loving father to his 3
young daughters, working as an assistant instructor at Rivera’s Warrior
Training Center and training for his next bout which is always just around
the corner.
Through mutual
friends at his daughter’s daycare center, Mark met “The Warrior” in April of
2008. He began taking classes, and fell in love with the sport. Under the
tutelage of a hall of fame, world champion such as Rivera, there is no
stopping Mark from following in his coach’s footsteps. Mark demonstrates
the drive and dedication it takes to become a champion in the sport and in
the gym.
Just back from
Long Island, NY and another knockout victory on August 22, “Bivwack” is
presently scheduled to fight on a card dedicated to the victims of 9/11 to
be held in NYC on September, 13, 2009. Be sure to keep your eyes out for
more news for this rising star.
